The inspiration for this work comes from reflection on the relationship between humanity and technology, a bond which, like the forbidden fruit, brings with it fascination and danger. I imagined Eve, the first woman, receiving from the devil not an apple, but a smartphone, a modern symbol of temptation. The gesture of the exchange, imbued with tension and ambiguity, represents the moment in which innocence collides with the promise of power and knowledge, but also with the fear of consequences. The devil embodies the spirit of our time, in which technology offers unlimited possibilities but, at the same time, questions ethical and spiritual boundaries.
